Coastal Flood Advisory issued November 15 at 6:45PM EST until November 16 at 11:00AM EST by NWS Newport/Morehead City NC* WHAT...For the Coastal Flood Advisory, up to two feet ofinundation above ground level in low-lying areas nearshorelines and tidal waterways. For the High Surf Advisory,large breaking waves of 6 to 9 feet in the surf zone.* WHERE...Northern Outer Banks.* WHEN...Until 11 AM EST Saturday.* IMPACTS...Up to 2 feet of inundation above ground level ispossible in some areas near shorelines and tidal waterwaysresulting in an elevated threat of property damage. Some roadsand low lying property including parking lots, parks, lawns, andhomes adjacent to the waterfront will experience shallowflooding. Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions andlocalized beach erosion.If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may beclosed. Do not drive around barricades or through water ofunknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-proneproperty.Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due todangerous surf conditions.
