Surf of 20 of 30 feet, lowering to 15 to 20feet early Saturday along west facing shores of Niihau, Kauai,Oahu, and Molokai. Surf of 10 to 14 feet, lowering to 8 to 12feet early Saturday along exposed west facing shores of the BigIsland.* WHERE...North and west facing shores of Niihau, Kauai, Oahu, andMolokai, north facing shores of Maui, and west facing shores ofthe Big Island.* WHEN...Until 6 AM HST Saturday.* IMPACTS...Very High...Expect ocean water surging and sweepingacross beaches, coastal benches, and lava flows creating thepotential for impacts to coastal properties and infrastructure,including roadways. Powerful longshore and rip currents will bepresent at most beaches. Large breaking waves and strongcurrents may impact harbor entrances and channels causingchallenging boat handling.Stay away from the shoreline along the affected coasts. Beprepared for road closures. Postpone entering or leaving channelsaffected by the high surf until the surf subsides.
