Strong west tonorthwest winds and very dry air behind the front will bringcritical fire weather conditions across much of the region. Theseconditions will quickly spread eastward, becoming widespreadalong and west of the I-35 corridor by noon. Sustained westerlywinds of 15 to 25 mph and gusts to 35 mph will coincide with RHvalues of of 5 to 15 percent along and west of the I-35 corridorFriday afternoon and early evening. Winds are forecast todiminish after sunset Friday. Stronger winds are forecast acrossall of South- Central Texas on Saturday, and combined with a verydry air across the region will result in another critical fireweather day.The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio has issued aRed Flag Warning for gusty winds and low humidity, which is ineffect from noon to 9 PM CDT Friday.
